Pathfinder Group considers its employees as part of its Family. The Co-Chairman Mr Ikram Sehgal has developed a team/mechanism that ensures provision of quality healthcare to all employees’ and families in the best hospitals of the country. Standing besides the employee is a trait that Co-Chairman Pathfinder Group always values.

We witnessed the same response on the evening of 9th August 2025 at 2020 hrs, when our Guard Amjad Khan who while going home after completion of his duty met a road accident. Fortunately, another Guard Saddam passing by the location spotted him and immediately informed Operations Supervisor- MBN, Mr M. Pervaiz who immediately sent his Patrolling Supervisor Karim accompanied by Guard Rajesh to reach the place of accident immediately.

On reaching the scene, they evacuated the Guard Amjad to Jinnah Hospital without any delay, where after initial treatment/ assessment, the Hospital referred him to Agha Khan University Hospital. His family and Medical Coordinator, Mr. Tahnoor were also informed. Guard Amjad was shifted to Agha Khan University Hospital at 0030Hrs, accompanied by his family, company representative Mr. Tahnoor and the Patrolling Supervisor. He was immediately taken into Emergency at AKUH and was attended by the Consultant Dr Hafiza Fatima.

This was followed-up by visits of members of the company’s Management, including Maj Zia, GM Guarding, Mr Fahad, Branch Ops Manager who met the patient and his family, ensuring that necessary support was in place. The family was told that the company is with them and they should not worry about the treatment.

As per the Doctor’s assessment, Guard Amjad sustained injuries on Head, Nasal and on the right-hand. He was recommended surgery.

Upon learning about the incident, Deputy Chairman, Col. Ashiq Hussain Malik, immediately forwarded the case to Co-Chairman, Mr. Ikram ul Majeed Sehgal, who demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the Pathfinder family, immediately approved the entire coverage of his medical expenses by SMS.

He remained admitted in hospital for 7 days and underwent surgeries. The total bill paid to Agha Khan Hospital was Rs 1.105417 Million whereas his health insurance limit was Rs 300,000 only. Further treatment till his full recovery will involve further expenditure as well.

This compassionate decision reflects how caring the Pathfinder Management is about their employees. Starting from the immediate assistance at the accident site, swift medical evacuation, personal involvement of the operations team, continuous updates to the family and giving the best treatment available in the city – is a living example of Pathfinder Group’s medical support for their employee.

We are proud of the professionalism and teamwork displayed by everyone involved in this incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Amjad Khan for a speedy recovery. This is only one such story. Many similar incidents take place every month and almost the same treatment/attention is given to every member of Pathfinder Family
